Penstemon eatonii – Firecracker Penstemon on Sale

Description
Perennial native to the southwest, this species has bright glossy green leaves. The spoon-shaped foliage is quite a bit larger than other penstemon types, making them a lush-looking option for landscapes and mixed perennial gardens. Plans for tall stalks in spring with red to deep orange, tubular flowers that hummingbirds and other pollinators cannot resist. In low desert or hot inland landscapes position this penstemon in morning sun or filtered sun under larger trees or shrubs for the best effect. Can be short-lived with no supplemental irrigation, where they behave like the true ephemerals.
We offer 1 gallon, potted plants, ready to ship. Plant them in fall to winter for spring flower display.
