Smooth Desert Spoon has green smooth leaves (no marginal teeth) that form a large rosette. They are fairly cold tolerant (hardy to 10º F) and need little supplemental water once they are established in the landscape. After several years in the ground, they will send up a very tall flower stalk with tan to white flowers. Easy to grow. Offer low maintenance with a tropical feel for poolside patios, or container gardens. Can be planted en mass or as a single specimen equally well. Plants prefer good drainage.
