Bignonia capreolata Tangerine cross vine Fashion

Description
Cross Vine is a fast-growing, woody self-climbing vine with a profusion of fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers that are two inches long and grow in bright shades of orange, yellow, or red. This is regarded as one of the most floriferous of the vining plants, being practically smothered in large clusters of 2-5 blossoms in mid-spring through summer. They are a particular favorite of hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators. This vine is native to the southeastern and south-central United States. A cross-section of its stem reveals the conducting wood forming a cross, hence the common name.Â
