Desert Spoon has long, grass-like gray spiny edged leaves that form a large rosette. They are reliably cold tolerant to 0ºF and need little to no supplemental water once they are established in the landscape. After several years in the ground, they will send up a very tall flower stalk with white to chartreuse colored flowers. These plants can be planted in mass for a minimalistic, mod landscape or blended with any other native shrubs, grasses, perennials, or other dramatic succulents to achieve a striking effect. Easy to grow and grow well in containers.
