Using the UMF® Grading System to Identify Genuine  UMF® 10+ Mānuka Honey

The UMF® Honey Association of New Zealand issues a UMF® (Unique Mānuka Factor) rating to indicate the purity and quality of each jar of Mānuka honey graded UMF® 10+. This rating identifies the presence of specific key markers- Leptosperin, DHA and Methylglyoxal (MGO). MGO is the component that gives Mānuka honey its unique qualities.

The UMF® grading system guarantees Mānuka honey s authenticity based on these signature compounds. Mānuka honey UMF® 10+ has over ten times the potency of regular honey due to the Unique Mānuka Factor.
