Aristida purpurea – Purple threeawn grass Discount

Description
Aristida purpurea – Purple three awn grassÂ
Purple three-awn is a native, widely adapted, cold hardy grass that features thin green foliage. In late summer to fall glowing blonde seed plumes turn pink to purple; hence, the common name. (An awn is part of the seed plume or glumes) Moderate to fast-growing, this grass typically reaches 1ft. tall and about half as wide at its base. They offer a striking appearance when mass-planted. They also work well as a carefree, transitional plant from lush to full xeric landscapes. Native from the Canadian border south to Mexico and stands can be found in virtually every state west of the Mississippi.Â
